Day 29 of being a Cancer Survivor

I haven’t written an update on Mrs. VS since last Monday.  Basically the last time we went to see Dr. D, the breast care specialist he told us that the drains would stay in until the drainage was under 25cc.  Chemo won’t start until the drains come out.  So we’re in a wait mode.

Mrs. VS is feeling better.  She’s actually been out shopping and is driving again.  She’s back to cooking and made PIT#3’s birthday cake today.  That said, Mrs VS is still very uncertain about what chemo is going to do her.

The waiting is compounding the worry.  The doctor is certain that once she starts chemo, she’ll be surprised at how well she’s actually doing.  Until the drains come out we’re in a holding pattern.  Unless there’s some major changes I’ll update again next week.
