So, these Marines are liars and you applaud that? I agree that it’s good that they stopped a robber. I understand why they disabled him after he attacked with a weapon (though I think they went wildly over what was necessary. Given their following loe I’d say they agree with me here) And then they give this idiotic and smug lie? Does not seem like they are trustworthy or honorable in any way to me…

@Robert – The article does not say that the Marines lied about what happened. Only that the police report states that the assailant fell off the curb. The article does not specify whether it was the Marines or the cops that made this assessment. 100% of the Marines that I know persoanlly would’ve responded inthe same manner but would have been truthful about it after the fact.
My take on the article is that cops were thankful for the assist and wrote it up in the manner they did to avoid extra paperwork.
