Hamakala

Hamakala is an evil spirit trapped within a statue of himself. He is an NPC, a spell, and a creature. He is summoned at the end of every round during the battle against Master Tonkatsu and deals a small amount of damage to all players.

In the Shakta philosophy of Hinduism, Kāmakalā refers to the “energy of Kāma”. Kāma means intent to create and kalā refers to a part of the main object and as such is an aspect of the Hindu goddess Siva.
Please Note I am not a follower of Hinduism. Today’s post is my poor attempt to distill a significant amount of information into a short paragraph. I suspect I have over-simplified it.

Bhagavati Sri Kamakala Kali

This is the thirty-sixth article chronicling the #W101PopCulture references starting in Wizard City and the fourteenth for Krokotopia. The current list of all the (known) Krokotopia references can be found here. These articles were originally put together for a Facebook group I belong to. Although I am well versed in Pop Culture references but I do not claim to have caught them all. Let me know your favorites in the comments and if I’ve missed one you caught, let me know so I can add it to the list.
