Marleybone is the home of dogs, cats, rats, and proper manners. Based loosely on a combination of 19th century London and America, and named after a section of London called Marylebone. This city World has all the trappings of a modern society built upon scientific foundations. Big Ben, Scotland Yard, and the Royal Museum are some of the most famous sights in Marleybone.

Wolfminster Abbey is an obvious reference to Westminster Abbey.
Kensington Park, Scotland Yard, The tower at Parliament which houses Big Ben, Chelsea Court, Hyde Park and Regents Square are all places in London.
Marleybone is also a section of London
Barkingham Palace, an obvious play on Buckingham Palace.
Hiram Lodge, Josie the Tabbicat’s hideout is named for Hiram Lodge, Veronica Lodge’s father from the Archie comic books.
Lord Barker may be a reference to Barking Abbey, which held Tyburn Manor for some time.
The O’Learys could be a reference to Mrs. O’Leary owner of the infamous cow who supposedly started the great Chicago fire.
Clarence Fogg, the Ice clothing recipe vendor is possibly a reference Phileas Fogg from Around the World in 80 Days, but Captain Fogg in Celestia is a better reference.
