Kol Shadowsong: “You have fought well, you meddling Wizard, and it is clear that Grandmother Raven has a claw in this! Still, you cannot stop the coming of the Everwinter! The Ice Titan Ymir will wake and bring an age of eternal cold! With the power of the Coven at my command, I call upon the sons of Ymir, the Ice Titan, to stop you!”

Nordri, Austri, Sudri, and Vestri the sons of Ymir

Nordri and his brothers, Austri, Sudri, Vestri are the four sons of the Frost Titan, Ymir. They are the final bosses you face in Wintertusk.

Norðri, Suðri, Austri and Vestri upholding the sky

In Norse mythology, Norðri, Suðri, Austri and Vestri (translated “Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western”) are four dwarves who each support one of the four cardinal points of the map. Together, they uphold the heavenly dome, created from the skull of the jötunn Ymir. They probably represent the four winds.

The current list of all the (known) Grizzleheim/Wintertusk references are located here.

Although I am well versed in Pop Culture references, I do not claim to have caught them all. Let me know your favorites in the comments and if I’ve missed one you caught, let me know so I can add it to the list.
