This Boss is only for Myth School Wizards that have the Quest ‘Hatching a Hero’ to receive the Pet Li’l Medusa. Myth School Wizards must fight this Boss solo. This Boss cannot be repeated.
“What do we have here… a hero? You must be brave to walk into the Gorgon Nest. Yes, quite brave indeed. And incredibly foolish. Lucky for you, my Gorgon Soldiers aren’t mature enough for combat just yet. Unlucky for you, my Kraken Guards and I are!”
Phorcys
In Greek mythology, Phorcys or Phorcus is a primordial sea god, generally cited (first in Hesiod) as the son of Pontus and Gaia (Earth). According to the Orphic hymns, Phorcys, Cronus and Rhea were the eldest offspring of Oceanus and Tethys. Classical scholar Karl Kerenyi conflated Phorcys with the similar sea gods Nereus and Proteus. His wife was Ceto, and he is most notable in myth for fathering by Ceto a host of monstrous children. In extant Hellenistic-Roman mosaics, Phorcys was depicted as a fish-tailed merman with crab-claw forelegs and red, spiky skin.

Although I am well versed in Pop Culture references, I do not claim to have caught them all. Let me know your favorites in the comments and if I’ve missed one you caught, let me know so I can add it to the list.
