Qhreed

One of the few remaining members of Rahqi’s Gym, this burly Boa is always up for a friendly sparring session. He is ready to spar with your wizard to teach you the ways of Serpentine Science.

“Sure thing, Rahq. Bring it on, Wizard!” – Qhreed

It was suggested that this NPC was an homage to Apollo Creed, the fighter Rocky Balboa fights and beats in the first film. However, since Mirage came out in 2016 and Apollo’s son, Adonis Creed was introduced in the 2015 film Creed. I believe that Qhreed is an homage to Adonis and not Apollo.

Creed is a 2015 American sports drama film directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Aaron Covington. It is the first spin-off of and is the seventh installment in the Rocky film series. It stars Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Tony Bellew, and Graham McTavish. In the film, amateur boxer Adonis Creed (Jordan) is trained and mentored by Rocky Balboa (Stallone), the former rival turned friend of Adonis’ father, Apollo Creed.

Although Rocky Balboa (2006) was considered the end of the franchise, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) hired Coogler in 2013 to develop a Rocky spin-off. Coogler and Covington’s original screenplay was completed by April 2014, with the involvement of Jordan and Stallone also confirmed. The remaining cast were hired by January 2015, after which, principal photography began and lasted until that April, with filming locations including Liverpool, Philadelphia, and Gainesville.

Creed had its premiere on November 19, 2015, at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles and was released in the United States on November 25, by Warner Bros. Pictures, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the date of the opening scene in the first film. It grossed $173 million worldwide and received universal acclaim from critics who praised Coogler’s direction, the screenplay, and acting performances. Among its accolades, it was selected by National Board of Review as one of the top ten films of 2015, while Stallone won the National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actor, the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor, and Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The film was followed by Creed II (2018) and Creed III (2023).

Apollo Creed as portrayed by Carl Weathers in Rocky IV (1985)

Apollo Creed is a fictional character from the Rocky films, played by Carl Weathers. He played in the series’ first four films, serves as the main antagonist in Rocky and Rocky II, and became one of the protagonists in Rocky III and Rocky IV. The character was inspired by the real-life boxer champion Muhammad Ali, having what one author remarked as the same “brash, vocal, [and] theatrical” personality. The film’s writer and star Sylvester Stallone stated, “[Jack] Johnson served as the inspiration for the character of Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies”; the character is loosely based on a combination of Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Joe Louis, and Johnson.

Adonis “Donnie” Creed (born Adonis Johnson) is the fictional protagonist of the Creed trilogy — Creed (2015), Creed II (2018), and Creed III (2023) — the follow-up franchise to the Rocky film series. The character is played by Michael B. Jordan in all three installments.

Adonis “Donnie” Creed as portrayed by Michael B. Jordan in Creed II (2018)

In the fictional setting of the films, Donnie is the illegitimate son of the late and former world champion Apollo Creed, the result of an affair between him and a woman with the surname Johnson who died sometime in the 1990s. Donnie spends the first several years of his life in foster care and juvenile hall, until he is subsequently adopted by Mary Anne Creed, Apollo’s widow. He lives a life of luxury and maintains a stable white-collar job, only to abandon it to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a professional boxer. He goes to Philadelphia and convinces his late father’s friend Rocky Balboa to train and mentor him.
