I’ve been reading bedtime stories via video chat for my granddaughter for over five years. She is growing beyond the nursery rhymes and simplistic books. So recently I’ve been running an “interactive bedtime story” (Yes, I’m prepping her for Game Night with Grandpa when she’s older). She has taken to her “Ninja-Ranger” (her idea) story with zeal.
Grandpa provides the “hook” and semi-directs the story. We follow her imagination and her actions have consequences. She has fought goblins, zombies, and evil skeletons. She has rescued Christmas from the Grinch. She and her companion / mount, Tigge the Battlecat, have rescued Princess Yasmine of Lower Trainswitch. All this is much to her imaginative glee.
So for Christmas, Grandpa combed through his Adobe Clip Art and downloaded several files. This is a custom map with every town or village the Ninja-Ranger has visited. *AD BREAK*

To help with the ongoing story, I recently purchased three Side Quest Decks from Inkwell Ideas. I’m impressed with the quality and ideas contained on each. I’ve got enough fodder here to keep the Ninja-Ranger story going for as long as I can.
