Admiral James T. Pork – Fear of the Future

Doctor Demented and her stooges are helping the Admiral with his grand plan to drive the Dwarves and the Nimbari mad with fear. They stage attacks to make the Nimbari paranoid. They scare the Dwarves with Myth Monsters so the Dwarves will bring their nightmares to life which in turn riles up the Myth Monsters. It’s a beautiful cycle of fear.

However, the Doctor couldn’t care less for the Admiral’s scheme. She just wants to study the Myth and Storm Chain up close. Getting ready to fight Captain Pork and your wizard she summons three of Captai Pork’s greatest fears.

The second is the Fear of the Future. This fear is embodied by Admiral Pork, the future version of Captain James T. Pork. He’s not the pig they think he is back home. Oh, no. No, no. He’s a rocket pig.

MONSTROLOGY TOME DESCRIPTION: Every Sky Captain has to settle down to a life of lounge singing eventually.

James Tiberius Kirk, commonly known as James T. Kirk or Captain Kirk, is a fictional character in the Star Trek media franchise. Originally played by Canadian actor William Shatner, Kirk first appeared in Star Trek serving aboard the starship USS Enterprise as captain. Kirk leads his crew as they explore new worlds, new civilizations, and “boldly go where no man has gone before”. Often, the characters of Spock and Leonard “Bones” McCoy act as his logical and emotional sounding boards, respectively.

Approximately two years (in universe timeline) after the end of his five-year mission, James T. Kirk is promoted to Admiral. In Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Admiral Kirk is Chief of Starfleet Operations, and he takes command of the Enterprise from Captain Willard Decker. Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry’s novelization of The Motion Picture depicts Kirk married to a Starfleet officer killed during a transporter accident. At the beginning of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Kirk takes command of the Enterprise from Captain Spock to pursue his enemy from “Space Seed”, Khan Noonien Singh. The movie introduces Kirk’s former lover Carol and his son, David Marcus. Spock, who notes that “commanding a starship is [Kirk’s] first, best destiny”, dies at the end of Star Trek II. In Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Admiral Kirk leads his surviving officers in a successful mission to rescue Spock from a planet on which he is reborn. Although Kirk is demoted to Captain in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home for disobeying Starfleet orders, he also receives command of a new Enterprise, the USS Enterprise-A (NCC 1701-A). The ship is ordered decommissioned at the end of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

William Shatner “performed” Elton John’s “Rocket Man” at the 5th Saturn Awards, recorded January 14, 1978.
