Ashley D. sent this one (Trinculo) in the same day that I noticed it and added it to my list. I neglected to credit her.
Miranda sends your wizard into the jungle to search for Sycorax’s Hollow Deck. The Hollow Deck’s spell cards enthralled Beastmen by creating illusions of their ancestors. According to legend those illusions would sometimes come to life and attack everyone.
Trinculo has found the deck he intends to “make deadly pretty pictures and conquer all tribes.” He proceeds to make copies of himself.
Trinculo is a comedic character in William Shakespeare’s play, The Tempest. He is a jester who serves as a source of comic relief throughout the play. Trinculo is portrayed as a witty and clever character, often making sarcastic remarks and engaging in humorous banter with other characters.
Trinculo’s name is derived from the Italian word “trincia,” which means “to cut into small pieces.” This name reflects his role as a jester, as he is known for his sharp wit and ability to cut through the tension in any situation. Trinculo’s humorous nature is evident from his first appearance in the play, where he is found hiding under a cloak during a storm.

The Holodeck is a fictional device from the television franchise Star Trek which uses “holograms” (projected light and electromagnetic energy which create the illusion of solid objects) to create a realistic 3D simulation of a real or imaginary setting, in which participants can freely interact with the environment as well as objects and characters, and sometimes a predefined narrative.
In several series, holodecks are an amenity available to the crew of starships. In the series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, a similar device is referred to as a holosuite, operated by the owner of the space station’s bar, Quark, who rents them out to customers.
The current list of all the (known) Empyrea references can be found here.
Although I am well versed in Pop Culture references but I do not claim to have caught them all. Let me know your favorites in the comments and if I’ve missed one you caught, let me know so I can add it to the list.
