Nitpicking Gremlins – Room Temperature Water

The rules of caring properly for Mogwai are:
1 No Bright Lights.
2 Never Get Them Wet.
3 NEVER Feed Them After Midnight.

We’ve discussed the inherent difficulties with the third rule before. However, what defines wet? Obviously water gets a Mogwai a/o Gremlin wet enough to reproduce. Yet Gizmo did not sprout offspring when Spike spat on him. When the Gremlins are in the bar drinking, they don’t seem to be reproducing. And as seen here after the reproduction in the YMCA’s pool, the Gremlins are walking across frozen water without reproducing.

Given how destructive and deadly Gremlins are, you’d think that whoever wrote the rules would be a little more clear as to feeding times and exactly what constitutes wet.

And no, I’m not sure what the arrows are pointing to. I originally made this meme in early 2020, I have forgotten what I was trying to show with the arrow positions.
