Nitpicking Back to the Future Part II – EVERY? Monetary Possibility?

Nitpicking Back to the Future Part II
EVERY? Monetary Possibility?

Thank you to Derek J. for pointing this one out by asking “Where did Doc Brown get NEW Confederate currency? This question opened a WHOLE aluminum brief case full of nits.

Clear shot of the prop

Where are the post 2000s redesigned bills? Doc handed Marty a $50 in 2015 at the beginning of the film.

How did Doc Brown get crisp new Confederate money? Did he drive the DeLorean to a Confederate state and travel back in time to get it? He sure didn’t have enough fuel to drive all the way from California to Texas in the 1860s

Where are the Spanish Pesos? Spanish and Mexican paper money were far more common in the Old West than Confederate currency.

Where are the post 1963-1971 bills when the currency ceased to be issued as Silver Certificates?

Shouldn’t the currency be grouped by valid usage dates? $1 bills 1939 – 1962, 1963 – 2024, $5 1971 – 2005? Something like that.

This is only US Currency, if Doc decides to go back to Bethlehem to see the birth of Christ, where’s the currency for other countries?
