Nitpicking Star Trek TNG “Conundrum” – Riker’s Toy

We’ve discussed the fact that Wesley Crusher’s Super Conducting Magnet is an example of Jynnan Tonnyx Technology. What is strange is that Riker has it on prominent display in his quarters next to the Horga’hn statue. I’m not sure that I want to speculate why Riker needs Wes’ magnet nor why it is so prominently displayed.

Nicholas S. speculates that Commander Riker has secretly been bullying Wesley and took the Super Conducting Magnet as a trophy. Steve N. adds that Riker needed the magnet to undo Deanna’s zipper when she comes to visit his quarters.
