Sherwood Q. Staffordshire IV

Sherwood Q. Staffordshire IV is Captain of the Staffordshire Novus Expedition, or what’s left of it. He and Arthur Pembroke, the Expedition Carpenter, are the two surviving members.

Staffordshire was the Captain of the Staffordshire Novus Expedition, an expedition from Marleybone to the then-newly formed world of Novus that resulted in the deaths of the entire crew except for Staffordshire and Arthur Pembroke. Staffordshire at one point meets your Wizard in Conatus and asks for help with Photomancing several points of interest throughout the area; the Valencian, Monquistan, Polarian, and Marleybonian Camps. The task is one that the scouts of the Expedition had been intended to complete before their deaths. Your Wizard gets the photos, with Staffordshire frustratingly dealing with Pembroke’s confusion during the process.

Arthur Pembroke

Staffordshire Pembroke pottery is a pattern of earthenware pottery made by Josiah Wedgwood in Burslem, Staffordshire in the mid-19th century. The pattern features a blue-gray transfer of a central image of sailors rowing to and from a moored sailing ship on a river, with the ruins of a castle in the mid ground. The detailed printing work of the rocks, trees, and clouds show the high quality we expect from Wedgwood. The transfer is printed in an unusual deep blue-gray, a running floral and dotted border.

Staffordshire is a landlocked ceremonial county in the West Midlands of England. It borders Cheshire to the northwest, Derbyshire and Leicestershire to the east, Warwickshire to the southeast, the West Midlands county and Worcestershire to the south, and Shropshire to the west. The largest settlement is the city of Stoke-on-Trent, and the county town is Stafford.

A Staffordshire Bull Terrier

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier, also called the Staffy or Stafford, is a purebred dog of small to medium size in the terrier group that originated in the northern parts of Birmingham and in the Black Country of Staffordshire, for which it is named. They descended from 19th-century bull terriers that were developed by crossing bulldogs with various terriers to create a generic type of dog generally known as bull and terriers. Staffords share the same ancestry with the modern Bull Terrier, although the two breeds developed along independent lines, and do not resemble each other. Modern Staffords more closely resemble the old type of bull terrier, and were first recognized as a purebred dog breed by The Kennel Club of Great Britain in 1935.

Pembrokeshire is a county in the south-west of Wales. It is bordered by Carmarthenshire to the east, Ceredigion to the northeast, and otherwise by the sea. Haverfordwest is the largest town.

Pembroke Castle is a medieval castle in the center of Pembroke, Pembrokeshire in Wales. The castle was the original family seat of the Earldom of Pembroke. A Grade I listed building since 1951, it underwent major restoration during the early 20th century. The castle is open to the public and is the largest privately owned castle in Wales.

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a cattle herding dog breed that originated in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Around the 19th century, The Corgi used to be known as the Welsh Cur, Cur meaning working dog (or Cor being translated to, “to watch over,” in Welsh), and Gi being the Welsh word for “dog.” It is one of two breeds known as a Welsh Corgi, the other being the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Pembroke Welsh Corgis descended from the Spitz family of dog. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are famous as the preferred breed of Queen Elizabeth II, who owned more than 30 Royal corgis during her reign. These dogs have been favored by British royalty for more than seventy years.
