Yes, I know the Live Action version explained some of it as the villagers magically forgetting the existence of their friends and loved ones. But the animated version never touches on it.
Another question, what happened to the original objects when the occupants of the castle were transformed? Was the castle suddenly left without these pieces when the staff was transformed back to human?
