We Spared No Expense and Custom Fitted Each Vehicle with Illegal Side-view Mirrors
Side view mirror laws vary from state to state in America. Hence all vehicles sold in the United States conform to these individual state statutes. Though new Federal guidelines require mirrors. One of those regulations is that the driver’s side mirror has an undistorted field of view (in Missouri that law is Mo. Code Regs. tit. 11 § 50-2.220). Passenger side view mirrors are convex, meaning objects appear smaller and further away than they actually are, but this gives the driver a larger field of view on an otherwise blind side of the car. Therefore these mirrors have a warning stating “objects in mirror are closer than they appear”.
Hammond doesn’t care. He has installed illegal (for America) convex mirrors on the driver’s side so you can have more dinosaurs reflected in the mirror. Convex mirrors provide greater thrills.
