Yes, I get that what Doctor Bashir and Chief O’Brien was illegal and everything. I get that Bashir and O’Brien wouldn’t want to implicate anyone else in the crime if everything went badly. But SURELY, Bashir could have contacted Lwaxana to come help. We saw in “The Dark Page” (TNG S7 Ep7) that with help Deanna was able to enter her mother’s thoughts.
