Sir Patrick, please let us here at the Nitpicker’s Guild alleviate your concerns. Livingston is NOT Picard’s Pet. He is in fact Picard’s liaison to Cetacean Ops on Decks 13 & 14. We are just seeing the front area of Livingston’s Quarters, there is a WHOLE unseen portion on the back side of the tank where Ensign Livingston has his own replicator and Comm System to Cetacean Ops.
