Lawyer Extraordinaire, Mary Pason is representing Ned Collie at his trial. There is no question that Ned is guilty of the crimes he is accused of committing. Mary needs character witnesses to help convince the Tribunal that Ned had no choice but to commit those crimes. Tony Simca is one of the folks on Mary’s list of people who have benefitted from Ned’s schemes.
Tony was having trouble paying his rent. Ned Collie robbed Tony’s landlord and gave Tony the money to pay his rent. Tony doesn’t testifying for Ned would be a good idea as this story isn’t the sort you need to tell the judges.
Anthony Simcoe (born June 7, 1969) is an Australian actor, known for his portrayal of Steve Kerrigan in the 1997 film The Castle and Ka D’Argo in the science fiction television series Farscape. Simcoe is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney. He holds an MFA in Drama, specializing in actor training. As Ka D’Argo in Farscape, Simcoe was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series in 2002.
Simcoe co-founded and performed in the band Signal Room, along with fellow Farscape actor Wayne Pigram on drums, guitarist Stephen Edwards and bass guitarist Gerry Kortegast. The band was formed during the filming of Farscape. The band toured the US in 2002, 2004, and 2006, and recorded three EPs, which were produced by Tim Whitten.
Simca (Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carrosserie Automobile; Mechanical and Automotive Body Manufacturing Company) was a French automaker, founded in November 1934 by Fiat S.p.A. and directed from July 1935 to May 1963 by Italian Henri Pigozzi. Simca was affiliated with Fiat and, after Simca bought Ford’s French subsidiary, became increasingly controlled by Chrysler. In 1970, Simca became a brand of Chrysler’s European business, ending its period as an independent company. Simca disappeared in 1978, when Chrysler divested its European operations to another French automaker, PSA Peugeot Citroën. PSA replaced the Simca brand with Talbot after a short period when some models were badged as Simca-Talbots.
During most of its post-war activity, Simca was one of the biggest automobile manufacturers in France. The Simca 1100 was for some time the best-selling car in France, while the Simca 1307 and Simca Horizon won the coveted European Car of the Year title in 1976 and 1979, respectively—these models were badge engineered as products of other marques in some countries. For instance the Simca 1307 was sold in Britain as the Chrysler Alpine and the Horizon was also sold under the Chrysler brand.
Simca vehicles were also manufactured by Simca do Brasil in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, and Barreiros (another Chrysler subsidiary) in Spain. They were also assembled in Australia, Chile, Colombia, and the Netherlands.
Simca cars were manufactured and sold in Australia, particularly during the 1950s and 1960s. The 90A Aronde was produced in Australia from 1956 by Northern Star Engineering which, along with Continental and General Distributors, had been contracted to assemble the model from CKD kits, using local content. In July 1959, Chrysler Australia announced that future production of the Aronde would be undertaken at its factories in Adelaide. In 1960 the P60 was introduced, selling alongside the 90A well into 1960, and a five-door P60 station wagon was introduced in late 1961. The wagon, which was unique to Australia, was based on the four-door sedan and featured an extended roof-line and a tail-gate fitted with a wind-down window. Australian production of the Aronde ceased in 1964.
