Either Marty put 60 miles on the DeLorean’s odometer driving around in circles trying to elude the Libyans or Doc Brown accidentally discovered a side-effect of time travel that increases the distance actually traveled.

If the latter is the case, Doc Brown COULD have sold the tech to Mr. Nobody’s organization which allowed Dom and crew to down Owen Shaw’s cargo plane in Fast & Furious 6.
