Once your Wizard has quelled the rampage on Cyclops Lane, Electra Stormcloud explains that just before the Trolls, Warhorns, and Cyclops attacked the local citizens were getting ready for the Then-Faire. Electra needs your Wizard to convince local merchants that it’s safe to return. Victor Darkwood agrees to help with costumes. Lloyd Fallingwater agrees to help with stands. Pierre Gallantmane has Prize Rings available, but alas zee rings have been stolen. The Rings of Fire, Ice, Wind, Dirt and a fifth one that Pierre doesn’t care for. If you can recover the rings they can be used as Then-Faire prizes.
The four thieves have holed up in houses on Unicorn Way, Triton Avenue, Cyclops Lane, and in the Dark Cave. The four thieves are the notorious Planet Fears! They are attempting to use the rings to summon The Destroyer.
“Ha! Ha! We’re the Planet Fears! You can fear us too. Because destroying your planet is the thing we do!” – Fear of Fire
“Ring of Water, lend your power to create the Destroyer that will end this corrupted world! Who are you? Can’t you see I’m busy here? It’s rude to interrupt, you know. And rudeness must be punished!” – Fear of Drowning
“Have you come to stop us? You can’t! Nothing can! We are the Planet Fears, the terrors born of all natural disasters. We are the shivering during a storm warning, the lump in the back of your throat during a small earthquake. We are the inconvenience of every snowfall. But we are nothing compared to what’s coming, meaningless in the wake of the Destroyer, of Disaster Made Flesh!” – Fear of Gentle Breezes
“Ah, good. The rise of the Destroyer should have a witness, someone to go blind in the light of his glory. My fellows already imbued him with the power over Fire, Water and Wind. And I have given him all the power of the Ring of Dirt. There’s only one ring left, the fifth ring, the oft forgotten Ring of Guts. It’s super important though. It’s what makes him a physical thing that can Destroy, not just swirling energy. So Ring of Guts activate! Is… is it activating? I don’t think it’s activating. Lousy ring, probably only works if you have working guts. Hey, you look alive. Wanna help me out here? Either you do it, or I’ll make you do it.” – Buried Fear
Buried Fear attempts to use your Wizard’s guts to finish the activation of The Destroyer. Once you’ve defeated Buried Fear there is no body for The Destroyer to use for its manifestation. The energy summoned by the Planet Fears disperses and you bring the rings back to Electra.
Captain Planet and the Planeteers, commonly referred to as simply Captain Planet, is an American animated environmentalist superhero television series created by Barbara Pyle and Ted Turner and developed by Pyle, Nicholas Boxer, Thom Beers, Andy Heyward, Robby London, Bob Forward, and Cassandra Schafausen. The series was produced by Turner Program Services and DIC Enterprises and broadcast on TBS and in syndication from September 15, 1990, to December 5, 1992.
A sequel series, The New Adventures of Captain Planet, was produced by Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, Inc., distributed by Turner Program Services and broadcast from September 11, 1993, to May 11, 1996. The series was later rerun on Kids’ WB!, Cartoon Network and Boomerang. It is currently on the MeTV Toons schedule.

The Planeteers are a group chosen by Gaia to protect the planet from environmental disasters and to educate humanity to prevent further disasters. Gaia uses her “Planet Vision” in the Crystal Chamber to discover where destruction is occurring, which is usually caused by the Eco-Villains, and sends the Planeteers to help solve the problem. The Planeteers use solar-powered transportation, usually the Geo-Cruiser, to avoid causing pollution themselves.
Kwame (voiced by LeVar Burton) – From Africa, Kwame has the power of earth.
James Wheeler (voiced by Joey Dedio) – From Brooklyn, New York City, United States, Wheeler has the power of fire.
Linka (voiced by Kath Soucie) – From the Soviet Union (Seasons 1–2), from Eastern Europe (Seasons 3–6), Linka has the power of wind.
Gi (voiced by Janice Kawaye) – From Asia, Gi has the power of water.
Ma-Ti (voiced by Scott Menville) – From Brazil, Ma-Ti has the power of heart. Ma-Ti was raised by his tribe’s shaman.
