Ye Olde Shoppe of Magicks – Bagpipes of the Wailing Hills

Bagpipes of the Wailing Hills
(Wondrous Item, uncommon, requires attunement by a bard)
Description:
These bagpipes are made from dark leather and silver fittings engraved with storm clouds. When played, they produce a deep, resonant drone that seems to carry for miles. The sound can be haunting or inspiring depending on the player’s mood.

While Attuned:
You have proficiency with bagpipes if you don’t already.

When you use these bagpipes to cast a spell that requires a verbal component, the spell’s range increases by 10 feet (does not stack with other range increases).

You can cast Thaumaturgy at will (only the sound-related effects: voice amplification, harmless rumble, or altering sound).

Battle Hymn (1/day): As an action, play a rousing or haunting tune. Choose one:

Rallying March: Allies within 30 feet who can hear you gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus.

Dread Dirge: Enemies within 30 feet who can hear you must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of your next turn.

Optional Whimsical Variant – The Pipes of Too Much Drama (uncommon)
The bagpipes billow your cloak, cause harmless gusts of wind, and occasionally summon a single confused seagull when you play.

All bardic inspiration dice you give while playing the bagpipes are rolled with advantage (the inspiration die, not the recipient’s check).

However, any failed Charisma (Performance) check made while playing causes all milk in a 30-foot radius to curdle.
