This finely carved tiger’s eye statuette depicts a cat seated upright on its hindquarters, holding a small shield in its paws.

When you hold the statuette and speak its command word, it summons a Palico — a bipedal feline warrior from another world — to fight for you and aid you.

The Palico appears within 5 feet of you, fully armored and wielding a sword and shield. The creature is friendly to you and your companions and follows your commands. It remains for 24 hours or until dismissed as a bonus action. Once used, the statuette can’t be used again until the next dawn.

The Palico acts as a Sidekick from Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, using your level for determining proficiency bonus and level-based features, but otherwise uses the stat block below as its base.

Traits

Sidekick Advancement. The Palico gains levels, features, and proficiency bonus according to the Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything Sidekick rules, using the Warrior sidekick type unless the DM decides otherwise.

Speak with Animals (At Will). The Palico can communicate with beasts as if under the speak with animals spell.

Loyal Companion. The Palico will follow your orders to the best of its ability, prioritizing your safety over its own.

Actions

Multiattack (Sidekick level dependent): At higher levels, the Palico may gain Extra Attack via the sidekick rules.

Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 1) slashing damage, or 7 (1d10 + 1) slashing damage if used with two hands.

Shield Bash (Optional): The Palico can use the Help action as a bonus action when adjacent to an ally.
