Nitpicking Star Wars – Biggs Hated His Wingman

When I first discovered that Red Six was named Porkins, I wondered why he didn’t stutter.

That set aside, as Derek points out Red Three tells Porkins to eject. There sure didn’t seem to be any rescue ships headed to the Death Star along with the X-Wings and Y-Wings. Now, I’ll admit that given the other technology we’ve seen in Star Wars, those helmets and suits COULD have life support features.

But really, where was Red Three supposed to eject to? The Death Star surface? Wasn’t the whole point of the mission to blow the Death Star up? Yes, eject onto the surface of a space station we plan to obliterate. Good plan Biggs.
