Eloise is ever so glad to see you. She was out collecting flowers for the Royal Museum when her and Zeke’s expedition became stranded on Ariel Shore. The nice folks in the village told her a sizzling tale of a legendary native flower, the Crown Empyreal. They say its blossoms glow like fire. Eloise would love to wander this exotic locale but she can’t find reliable transportation. Would Your Wizard be so kind to pick Crown Empyreals as you transverse Empyrea?
Fritillaria imperialis, the crown imperial, imperial fritillary, Kaiser’s crown, or Kurdish tulip, is a species of flowering plant in the lily family Liliaceae, native to a wide stretch of Asia including Turkey, Iran (e.g. Kurdistan), Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Northern India, and the Himalayan foothills. It is also widely cultivated as an ornamental and reportedly naturalized in Austria, Sicily, and Washington State, USA. The common names and the epithet “imperialis”, literally “of the emperor”, refer to the large circle of golden flowers, reminiscent of an emperor’s crown.
Fritillaria imperialis grows to about 1 m (3 ft) in height, and bears lance-shaped, glossy leaves at intervals along the stem. It bears a prominent whorl of downward facing flowers at the top of the stem, topped by a ‘crown’ of small leaves, hence the name. While the wild form is usually orange-red, various colors are found in cultivation, ranging from nearly a true scarlet through oranges to yellow. The pendulous flowers make a bold statement in the late spring garden; in the northern hemisphere, flowering takes place in late spring, accompanied by a distinctly foxy odor that repels mice, moles and other small animals.
Imperial was the Chrysler Corporation’s luxury automobile brand from 1955 until 1975 and again from 1981 through 1983.
The Imperial name had been used since 1926 as a Chrysler luxury model, the Chrysler Imperial. In 1955, the automaker repositioned and re-launched the Imperial as a separate make and division to better compete with its North American rivals, Lincoln and Cadillac.
The Imperial would feature new or modified body styles introduced every two to three years, all with V8 engines and automatic transmissions, as well as technologies that would later be introduced in Chrysler Corporation’s other models.
Chrysler produced the Imperial Crown as a high-end model from its debut in 1926 until the brand’s final production in 1993. The “Crown” name was used for the top luxury trim level of the production line.
