Oberon is my Elf Ranger in our Tuesday / Thursday session (Original DM Darryl, Current DM Dan). We’ve been playing together since January of 2025. Our party of seven (some veteran players and a few complete newbies) started off with level one Red Book characters with the Palace of the Silver Princess. We had a blast. Eventually we found our footing as a (somewhat) cohesive party. And finished the dungeon. We decided as a group we wanted to continue. Darryl wanted to play and neither Dan nor I felt comfortable DMming. The groups consensus was to move to 5e with Dan DMming and make backstopping him.
We opted to keep the same characters, expand the map and continue on in our Homebrew world.
Now, my memory isn’t what it used to be (neither is Oberon’s). I try to take good notes but I don’t type fast enough and my handwriting sucks. Trying to determine what I wrote a year ago is making my head hurt.
I’m stealing this idea from Sean Holland over at “Sea of Stars“, I’m going to start to keep track of my game notes as Oberon’s Journal.
