Prospector Zeke is an NPC found in the main area of each World. After dropping off the Krokotopian beetles at a conservatory, Zeke makes his way to Regent’s Square in Marleybone. Zeke then sends your wizard off in search of ten stray cats wandering around this civilized world.
Each world I go to, I always find some’n have gone and forgot. Now I’m looking for ten Stray Cats. I’ve seen them running around everywhere. Bet I could find ’em a nice home.

Stray Cats are an American rockabilly band formed in 1979 by guitarist and vocalist Brian Setzer, double bassist Lee Rocker, and drummer Slim Jim Phantom in the Long Island town of Massapequa, New York. The group had numerous hit singles in the UK, Australia, Canada, and the U.S. including “Stray Cat Strut”, “(She’s) Sexy + 17”, “Look at That Cadillac”, “I Won’t Stand in Your Way”, “Bring It Back Again”, and “Rock This Town”, which the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has listed as one of the songs that shaped rock and roll.
According to Rolling Stone Magazine, their best song was “Rock This Town” from their debut album “Stray Cats” (1982). It reached #9 on the UK Singles Chart and peaked at #9 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in the US.

The quest name is “Stray Cat Strut” that happens to be the title of another hit song by the Stray Cats.
This is the seventy-third article chronicling the #W101PopCulture references starting in Wizard City and the third Zeke Quest article. The current list of all the (known) Marleybone references can be found here and the Zeke Quest articles can be found here. These articles were originally put together for a Facebook group I belong to. Although I am well versed in Pop Culture references but I do not claim to have caught them all. Let me know your favorites in the comments and if I’ve missed one you caught, let me know so I can add it to the list.
