Bellosh is a “Secret Boss” found in the House of Scales dungeon. A Skeleton Key is required to access him. His three Minions are random. They include any combination of Condemned Mander, Pit Viper, or Ravenous Tooth (Life). Bellosh is very similar to Belloq as he looks the same, and has the same cheat. He is also the cousin of Belloq.

“What strange curiosity is this? A Wizard in the House of Scales? The Mander spirits could of warned you, if only you spoke ancient Mander! Alive, you are worthless. But once you are no longer a threat, well… your trappings will fetch a pretty penny at the Bazaar! My cousin often says he dislikes dueling Wizards, but I can’t see much before my tusks to worry me.”

This cousin of another infamous pachyderm also has a penchant for looting and price gouging. And cheating.

This is the second W101 reference to the French Archeologist from Raiders of the Lost Ark. In the Spiral Belloq and Bellosh are cousins. In our world they are one and the same.

“They have not one brain among them. Except one. He is very clever. He’s a French archeologist.” -Sallah

“They call him Bellosh.”

“Belloq. Belloq.”

René Emile Belloq was a French archaeologist and rival of his American counterpart Indiana Jones.

In 1936, after claiming a golden Chachapoyan fertility idol from Jones in Peru, Belloq was hired by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler to assist in the Reich’s search for the Ark of the Covenant, an expedition that would ultimately be his undoing.
