Doc

Thank you to Ashley D. for this one.

Doc is the Reagents Vendor in Polaris. He is located in the west area of Forlorn Tayg, near the Walruskberg entrance. His shop is called “Doc’s Apothecary Supplies.”

Doc’s Toasty-Toes Tincture is a miracle cure for frostbite. Unfortunately he has run out of the key ingredient. Doc needs your wizard to collect Tufted Saxifrage.

Arden Hayes “Doc” Thomas was born on January 22, 1887, in Indiana. He was pharmacist in Fortville, Vernon Township, Hancock, Indiana until he moved to Dade County, Florida to open a pharmacy / feed store.

In 1935 Doc Thomas moved his drug and feed stores from Sunset Drive up to South Dixie Highway into a larger space. He closed the pharmacy in the mid-1950s and expanded the O. K. Feed Store, where it operated until 2000. Doc Thomas passed away December 31, 1975.

The current list of all the (known) Polaris references can be found here.

Although I am well versed in Pop Culture references but I do not claim to have caught them all. Let me know your favorites in the comments and if I’ve missed one you caught, let me know so I can add it to the list.
