Endora is one of the three Weird Sisters along with Samantha and Tabitha. She is an experienced Gummy scientist.
Bewitched is an American fantasy sitcom television series that originally aired for eight seasons on ABC from September 17, 1964, to March 25, 1972. The show was popular, finishing as the second-rated show in America during its debut season, staying in the top ten for its first three seasons, and ranking in eleventh place for both seasons four and five. The show continues to be seen throughout the world in syndication and on recorded media.
Endora (Agnes Moorehead) is Samantha Stephens’ mother and Maurice’s wife. She is an extremely powerful witch.
Endora disapproves of her daughter’s decision to marry a mortal. She sometimes casts spells on Darrin for her own amusement, but mostly to try to drive Darrin away from Samantha. She refuses to even use Darrin’s name, purposely calling him “Durwood,” “What’s-his-name,” “Darwin,” “Dum-Dum,” “Dagwood,” “Dustbin,” et cetera, all much to his annoyance.
Despite her disapproval, Endora loves Samantha and her grandchildren, Tabitha and Adam, more than anything. Endora is the most frequent houseguest and one of the most loyal members of Samantha’s family.
