The Empire is Guarding the Hyperspace Jump Point
This particular nit isn’t limited to Star Wars. Space is HUGE! All the Rebels would have needed to do was to alter the liftoff vector and avoid the Star Destroyers entirely. But they didn’t so there MUST be a reason why the Rebels took off directly in the path of the Star Destroyers.
