Angus

Angus is a Bull that lives in the Heap, the lost region of the world of Lemuria. He is the owner of Angus’ Place, a diner in the city. Angus got in a dangerous situation with a gangster of Doctor Prune’s Irregulars when he was accused of stealing a Mana Wisp and had to be saved by the Wizard, soon after their arrival in the Heap to find the final Attunement Stone to open the Harmonic Gates and access the World Synthesizer. He would then show the Wizard the way to Dog Tracy, but not after being attacked again, this time by the Prim Reaper’s Gray Reapers. Later on, Angus met back up with the Wizard while they were looking for employment for Skeletaur. He would hire Skeletaur as a greeter for his diner but only after the Wizard defeated One-Tum Tammy, an up-and-coming Cow gangster who had occupied the place and was trying to force Angus to brew her some Mana Potions.

The Aberdeen Angus, sometimes simply Angus, is a Scottish breed of small beef cattle. It derives from cattle native to the counties of Aberdeen, Banff, Kincardine and Angus in north-eastern Scotland. The breed accounted for over 17% of the beef production in the United Kingdom. The Angus is naturally polled (a non-horned breed of a species that normally has horns) and solid black or red; the udder may be white. The cattle have been exported to many countries of the world; there are large populations in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South America and the United States.

Aberdeen Angus cattle have been recorded in north-eastern Scotland since at least the sixteenth century. For some time before the 1800s, the hornless cattle in Angus were called “Angus Doddies”, while those in the historic province of Buchan (later part of Aberdeenshire) were known as “Buchan Humlies”, both “doddie” and “humlie” mean “polled.” In 1824, William McCombie of Aberdeenshire, began to improve the stock and is regarded today as the father of the breed. The breed was officially recognized in 1835, and was initially registered together with the Galloway in the Polled Herd Book. The cattle became commonplace throughout the British Isles in the mid-twentieth century.
