Violating the Prime Directive One Last Time

Jim put this meme together and attached it with his nit. The meme says it all. However, it is fitting that Captain James T. Kirk violates the Prime Directive one last time. Though apparently SOMEONE at Starfleet thought that James T. Kirk’s biological remains shouldn’t be left on Veridian III as we plainly saw in Picard S3 Ep6 “The Bounty”.
Why does the Daystrom Station have Kirk’s mortal remains stored in their vault? Again, wouldn’t you want to venerate such a celebrated Starfleet Captain with a public burial and memorial? Even though it violated the Prime Directive, at least Picard buried the man.
