Ye Olde Shoppe of Magicks – Amulet of Animal Protection

Amulet of Animal Protection

Once per long rest this amulet can be used to house domesticated animals (i.e. cattle or mounts) in a secure magical enclosure. The enclosure is invisible to anyone who does not have an animal inside. It protects the enclosed animals from predators, the environment, and attacks.

The enclosure is vulnerable to magical attacks. The attacker must be a higher level caster than the summoner to even detect the enclosure. To breach the enclosure the attacker makes an opposed role (with disadvantage) to the summoner.

To summon the enclosure, the summoner must hold the amulet at arm’s length and declare “Stable my friends” while pointing the amulet at the docile animals. The animals must be calm and (relatively) motionless for the summoning to be successful. (i.e. The Summoner cannot summon the stable if the party’s mounts are spooked by something).

The enclosure stays in place until the summoner releases it. The amulet recharges after a long rest by the summoner.
