The XXV 2026 Winter Olympics, officially the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina kicked off February 6, 2026 at sites across Lombardy and Northeast Italy. It is scheduled to run through February 22, 2026. With American coverage broadcasts by NBC and peacock Streaming. Roku City is good to go.

Flags of some of the participating nations: The Netherlands, Canada, Great Britain, India, Denmark, America, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Bayone, New Jersey?
Bluesky user @IStandwithMinnesota thinks that final flag could be Mexico (that’s possible if the top color is green. I’ll admit to standing inches from the screen and cannot tell for sure if it’s green or blue)
Sir Chandis K. correctly pointed out there isn’t a country with a flag like this. France’s doesn’t have any symbols on the white vertical stripe.
Iowa? It’s just plausible.
More plausible than Bayone, New Jersey or Iowa

  1. Okay Stev, so I nitpicked over on the main RC thread that there were a bunch of non-wheeled vehicles roaming back and forth on the street which was conspicuously lacking snow. You mentioned the Zamboni laying down ice. Now that I look at the larger pics here on this side, you’re absolutely right! I don’t know how I missed the building reflections on the icy street. It would have been great if they followed through with vehicle reflections for the left to right travel, but I suppose you can’t have everything.
