Welcome to the May 2026 RPG Blog Carnival! The RPG Bloggers Carnival is a monthly activity hosted overall by Scot Newbury over at of Dice and Dragons and monthly by blogs across the RPG Bloggers Network going all the way back to 2009. (Check out the archive here). I have the honor of hosting this May’s Carnival.

This month I want to know what inspires you as a player. I want to know what inspires you as a DM. I want to know what inspires you as a Content Creator. I want to know what inspires that creative flame that burns within you until you just have to let it loose.

  • Tell us about that time you creatively borrowed the plot from a comic book / novel / TV show or movie
  • Tell us about the famous person or character who cameoed as an NPC in your campaign
  • Fill us in on the piece of pop culture nostalgia that became unforgetable loot
  • Tell us about that ONE LIGHTBULB moment that you’ll never forget
  • Write some Haikus
  • Write some Limericks
  • Share that artwork that hangs on the wall of your workspace
  • Share the cheesy motivational poster that you stare at when the screen is blank in front of you
