Welcome back to our ongoing series chronicling the Connected Art of Pokémon cards. Today we look at an interesting and unusual pairing by artist DOM.

This SIR (Special Illustrated Rare) 2-card set from Pitch Black is unusual because it pairs a Pokémon with a Trainer.
Sadly at nearly $30 for the pair (as of 9/25/26) this is as close to being in my collection as I’ll everr get unless I get a lucky pull.
