October is when American’s thoughts turn to Halloween, Goblins, Ghouls, Witches and Wizards. (Unless of course you are the manager of WalMart then your thoughts are already turning towards Christmas). What do the traditional dress up characters all have in common?
MAGIC
That said, this isn’t a Halloween blog. We’re talking about TTRPGs. But it’s the same thing, players all want a magical item even if their character isn’t magical at all. Some DMs are loathe to give them out. Some DMs hand them out like candy to a trick or treater. This month we’re not discussing the merits or problems with the lack of or overabundance of magic and magical items.
I want to know about that ONE magical item that you just can’t forget either as a player or DM. Was it homebrewed? Was it it found in seldom used expansion ruleset? Was it a mundane magical item that you or a player found a use for that made it everyone else’s jaw drop?
